Advanced imaging for accurate staging and treatment planning
If you would like more accurate imaging than CT, bone scans and MRI can provide, we will coordinate your PET-CT scan for you (depending on your location scans can be scheduled within 1–2 weeks on average). We will call and deliver the results to you by phone within 72hrs of your scan. We'll make sure you and your doctor understand everything the test showed and what to do to make the best use of this information towards your care. PET-CT is more accurate and thorough than a CT scan.
Statistics from studies worldwide show that cancer treatment plans are changed, on average, over 87% of the time based on PET/CT results (and 93% of the time for breast cancer!)
PET/CT provides you and your doctors with critical information regarding the true stage of your cancer. You will know if you have metastases or not and, if so, where.
ASCO, for example, has hundreds of studies touting the merits of PET-CT and PSMA-PET for cancer diagnosis

A PSMA-PET scan is a type of PET scan specifically for prostate cancer. It stands for: Prostate Specific Membrane Antigen (not the same as PSA). This test provides prostate cancer patients with a very accurate diagnosis. An entire field of cancer treatment, called Theronostics, has been established for prostate cancer patients based on the benefits of this scan. If you get a PSMA-PET and we learn that Theronostics is the right treatment for you, our team can help coordinate access to this leading-edge treatment. Many of our patients have had great success with Theranostics.
If you have a confirmed diagnosis of prostate cancer or some indication that you may have cancer we will coordinate your PET-CT scan for you (usually within 2 weeks!) and deliver the results to you by phone within 72hrs of your scan. We’ll make sure you and your doctor understand everything, including next steps to take depending on the results. PET-CT is more accurate and thorough than a CT scan.

If you'd like an MRI, we will coordinate your MRI scan, interpret your results, and deliver your results to you and your doctor. This non-invasive imaging test (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a good alternative to PET-CT and works better for certain types of cancer. MRI is also more accurate and thorough than a CT scan.

Next-generation sequencing for DNA & RNA molecular profiling
What is NGS?
What are Molecular Targeted Therapies?
Optimal treatment outcomes come from thorough molecular testing and expert analysis.
Studies show that matching patients to the correct targeted treatment protocol as early as possible has significant benefits: For example, of the 210 patients in this study, Molecular Profiling to Match Individually Dosed, Personalized Drug Combinations, 95% had significant, unique, and – most importantly – targetable mutations.
Our genetic testing services include both DNA sequencing and RNA sequencing. DNA sequencing identifies the genetic mutations present in your cancer, while RNA sequencing identifies the expression rate of RNA in those mutations.
In a nutshell, these tests help us to identify the best targeted therapy drugs for your form of cancer:
DNA Sequencing
DNA sequencing tests for mutations and shows us whether they have altered functions or are stuck turned on. It gets us in the the ballpark of the right targeted treatment(s).
RNA Sequencing
RNA sequencing tests for expression and shows us whether the gene is turned on or not, and by how much. It gets us to the bullseye of exactly which targeted treatment(s) are going to hit your specific cancer-driving mutations.
These are done with tumor tissue or with a blood sample. There are many factors that influence the correct analysis of the results of these tests, such as VUSs (Variants of Unknown Significance), resistance mutations, and more.
Depending on your needs and budget, there are a variety of next-generation sequencing tests for you to choose from. They vary in depth and detail, but all of them are significantly superior to any of the genetic testing that is currently offered in standard cancer care.
So whether you are able to get the most comprehensive or something small from our selection, you will still be getting significantly more treatment options than you otherwise would.
We offer in-house testing via Liquid Biopsy Labs
The types of genetic testing we offer include:
Unfortunately, standard genetic testing is rife with issues.
Typical standard genetic testing tests for maybe 10 or 20 mutations. This is not enough.
Our comprehensive genetic testing panel tests for over 550 genetic mutations. After receiving those results, we then run our RNA expression testing panel (which tests for over 20,000 genes!)
Standard testing does NOT take into consideration VUSs, nor sensitivity (check this term), and simply is far too small to be of use to most patients. It also does not take into consideration the fact that mutations interact with one another and this must be factored into things when determining a treatment.
Further, the tumor biopsy samples are often mishandled and deteriorated to the point of providing faulty results! Did you know that in public healthcare – and even in excellent companies such as Foundation Medicine CDx and CARIS – genetic testing fails to produce any beneficial data more than 40% of the time?
This is because of the improper handling of biopsy samples.
Rest assured, we have a solution for you!
Our team uses a specialized type of tissue separation process, called LCM (Laser Capture Microdissection), which provides us with a highly purified sample of DNA or RNA from the smallest amount of tissue.
And this ensures that our samples are viable and produce valuable results over 98% of the time.
If you have already had a biopsy, we will be able to use the existing tissue from that.
You just need to sign a release form
We will ensure that we get access to it from your hospital (or wherever it is located).
You will not need to have another procedure.

Our in-house leading-edge NGS lab uses the Thermo Fisher DNA sequencing panel, which looks at 550+ genes. It is superior to the panels offered by Princess Margaret Hospital in Ontario and Arthur Chiles in Calgary.
Hospitals like Princess Margaret and Arthur Chiles only offer patients a small 125 mutation panel for genetic testing. We provide our patients with a larger version – 550 known cancer-related mutations, which enables our specialists to identify with far greater precision which mutations are driving your cancer, accounting for all additional variables (MSI, MMR, VUSs, and more).
This allows us to properly identify all possible treatment options for you. It also allows us to track emerging mutations, which enables us to recommend your next treatment options, should your current treatment stop working. This excellent panel is much more comprehensive and accurate than standard genetic testing, as well as other private genetic testing companies like CARIS, FoundationOne, and others. It is an essential part of determining which targeted treatments will work best for a patient's cancer.
info About this test:
This test uses a tissue biopsy to look at 550 known cancer-related mutations and will show you exactly which mutations are involved in your cancer. This information gets us in the ballpark of identifying which targeted treatments will benefit you. The tissue-based RNA test, when used in tandem with this DNA test, allows us to hit the bullseye with identifying the exact right treatment options for you.
What you’ll find out:
Who it’s for:
fact_check This test provides you with information on:
• Which mutations are involved in your cancer, out of 550 known mutations
• Which mutations have altered functions or are stuck turned on
• Whether you have a high TMB (Tumor Mutation Burden)
• Your data related to MMR/MSI
• Whether you have desensitized mutations
• VUSs (Variants of Unknown Significance)
Timeline: Turnaround typically takes about 3 weeks, once the lab has received a sample of your tumor tissue.

CDx Liquid: $3,928.25 + GST
CDx Tissue: $3,787.95 + GST
Our team helped FoundationOne create their CDx test! We can facilitate you accessing this test and ensure that your results are properly analyzed by our oncogenomics experts. Our team actually helped the FoundationOne team to understand the value of MMR, MSI, PD1, and more – and we were able to convince them to add that to their test, even before oncologists understood the importance of those variables...
This test costs less than our in-house Thermo Fisher sequencing test, because it is lower quality. It has a lower number of reads, they do thousands of tests per week, and their sample handling is of lower caliber. However, if this works for your budget, it is still far superior to the genetic testing offered by standard care.
The CDx is offered for both tissue and liquid – and our team can advise you on which is better for your needs. CDx testing is FDA approved and your doctor will respect its results.
We can commonly find more treatment options for you based on your test results that your doctor will not even know to look for – so it's most important that you have your results analyzed by an expert, such as those on our team. Experience makes all the difference.

Our first-of-its-kind ctDNA Liquid Biopsy test identifies the percentage of tumor DNA in your blood and ensures accurate and timely treatment monitoring. This is a much more effective way to ensure your treatment is working as hoped compared to standard treatment monitoring. If your treatment is not working as hoped, it ensures that we will know immediately and can get you on another treatment quickly.
infoAbout this test:
This test is custom-designed for each person's unique cancer-related mutations. It looks at the amount of ctDNA (i.e. tumor DNA shedding into your bloodstream) and informs us immediately if there are more cancer-driving mutations than a few weeks prior (meaning your treatment is not working as hoped, or cancer is growing). It also tells us when there are no more of these cancer-driving mutations in your body. This test can be used as early recurrence detection of a single-known cancer-related mutation, as it will detect when cancer is present before there are any solid tumors!

Covers all 154 known cancer-related inherited mutations for people wanting to assess their likelihood of developing cancer based on any inherited cancer-related genes.
This advanced genetic testing will identify any inherited cancer-related mutations using a simple saliva or blood sample – no invasive tissue collection required. Unlike standard tests that screen only a few common genes (such as BRCA1/2), this comprehensive panel analyzes 154 known cancer-related genes, offering a far more complete understanding of genetic risk.
Inherited mutation testing is particularly valuable for younger people diagnosed with cancer, as well as for family members who want to understand their potential risk.
How do you know if you need this test?
If you are under the age of 40 and it is the first time you or your loved one has had cancer, an inherited mutations test would be warranted. If you are not under 40 at the time of your first cancer diagnosis, inherited mutations are less likely to play a key role.

Proton beam therapy is an advanced form of radiation treatment that delivers highly targeted energy directly to a tumor – without damaging surrounding healthy tissue.
Unlike conventional radiation, it does not generate heat or scatter into nearby organs, making it one of the most precise and tissue-sparing options available.
Coordination: Our team can help you to first determine if you are a candidate for proton beam therapy – and then, if you are, we can help to guide you on next steps to take to access it. While this advanced treatment is not yet available in Canada, it is already available in the US and Europe.
When it’s used:
Proton therapy is especially valuable for tumors located near critical or sensitive structures – such as the brain, heart, or other vital organs – where traditional radiation may be too risky or not possible. It was originally developed for delicate cases like pediatric brain tumors, where protecting surrounding tissue is essential.
How to know if this will work for you:
To assess whether proton therapy is appropriate, we recommend that you get a PET-CT to confirm active cancer and pinpoint its exact location. An MRI may also be used to provide a clearer anatomical view. These imaging results allow specialists to evaluate whether the tumor can be safely and effectively targeted with proton therapy.
The goal of this therapy is to deliver maximum impact on the tumor while minimizing collateral damage – opening up treatment possibilities in cases where standard radiation is not an option.
